Hammer is the producer of bowling balls and their accessories and has a prominent place in the bowling world. Even after its acquisition by Ebonite International, the brand name continues to be used and is known to be manufacturing some of the best bowling balls in the business.
Take for instance the Black Widow bowling balls that they’ve launched – Venom, Sting, Bite, Nasty and Pearl. This series has without a doubt proved itself time and time again in the bowling alleys. Take a look at them and see if you find it easy to pick out the one that looks the best. With each of them dazzling you in their own unique ways, you’ll find it extremely difficult to pick one.
The Black Widow Venom was reviewed in June last year and found to be a powerful force that works like a dream for “medium to medium-heavy oil.” The grip works great for dry as well as wet alleys. And the looks are what everyone’s still raving about.
The Black Widow Sting was launched worldwide on the 14th of July, 2009 and was thought to be better than or on par with the Black Widow Bite. Some bowlers felt that it moved more predictably when its pores were clogged as opposed to clean. Over all the reviews were more than favorable.
The Black Widow Bite is one of the older ones in this series and as of now no longer appears on the series line-up, most likely due to the innovations and improvements made on the successive Black Widow bowling balls. Almost everyone that used the ball and reviewed it has only praise for it.
The Black Widow Nasty, was the most recent one to be launched in this series and it surpassed expectations as well, though there were some who felt that it did exactly what the other bowling balls in this series did despite the changes made in the coverstock and core.
Even they agreed that it’s a great bowling ball if experienced for the first time but for those who already own one of the earlier Black Widow bowling balls, buying the Nasty wouldn’t make sense.
